Good evening LHS! Tomorrow, Wednesday March 9, 2022 will be the last day of AMI instruction for the year. The gas leak at LHS is still being repaired. Any additional instructional days (because of school closure) will have to be made up at the end of the school year…Parents, please make sure that your child is logging on for virtual courses. It is an unexcused absence when a student does not log on. That absence will be counted against the student, and may result in the student being placed in the same grade next year. We appreciate you allowing your student to attend this school year at LCSD; however, we are not done yet working with them. Thanks for your full attention to this matter. If you were not able to log in, that should have been reported to your principal, and a personal leave day taken and noted this morning before work hours or last night. No excuses! Good evening LCSD! As you may be very aware, a gas leak at LHS’s campus caused the early dismissal for 7-12 grade students at noon today. Because the gas leak will have to be repaired, Lee High School Students will have remote/virtual instruction tomorrow, March 8, 2022. 11th grade students will receive an update soon concerning the ACT Aspire exam for tomorrow. LHS Teachers will work remotely. No staff at LHS should be onsite until the gas leak has been repaired. The building principal will communicate expectations for teaching and learning. Custodial and Food Service should communicate with Directors on the expectations for working in the district tomorrow. ASLA staff and students will have a regular school day. Remember, Safety First! Good morning LCSD! Centerpoint Energy had to be called to the LHS Campus today, because of a gas leak. They have shut off the gas on that campus. The plan is that students will eat lunch, and when the buses are ready, only Lee High School will be dismissed at noon today, Monday, March 7, 2022; since it is a cold day today. ASLA students will be dismissed at the regular time. Please do not go and pick up students before noon. We will keep you informed as to when the gas leak will be fixed and school will resume on campus. Safety First! Thank you. Supt. Murdock

Good morning Trojan Fans! The Senior Boys Basketball Team will play Buffalo Island Central at 8:30 PM tonight, Tuesday, March 1, 2022 in the Regional Tournament Championship Game in Carlisle. The Regional Basketball Tournament Game, Lee County Trojans vs. Bay Yellowjackets, has been postponed until tomorrow, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 5:30 PM. Good morning Trojan Fans! The Regional Basketball Tournaments around the state have been cancelled due to inclement weather. These games will resume as weather permits. Previously purchased tickets will be honored on the day the game has been rescheduled. Good evening Trojan Fans! The 2A-6 District Basketball Tournament will be played in England starting Monday, February 14th. All tickets must be purchased online through the GOFAN website. There will be a separate link for each day games are played: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The ticket is good for all games played on that particular day only. Good afternoon LCSD, Please review the following announcement: The Lee County School District is “Closed Campus.” This means that no foods can be purchased and brought in to students at any point during the school day. Students are welcome to bring their lunch with them to school. The district offers a free lunch program under the state of Arkansas and USDA guidelines, and must maintain compliance in that regard. Because school was out last Friday, we plan to “Wear Red” tomorrow, and during tomorrow night’s makeup Basketball Game at home, to show support for “Move For My Heart…Fun Night, 2022.” We want to get you moving for Heart Health.” Please come out and “red out” the James Banks Gymnasium in recognition of “American Heart Month, 2022!” It will be a special half-time presentation during the Senior Boys game.
